At GMEI Services, our mission is to protect families and communities by delivering safe, high-quality residential and commercial renovations with a focus on lead abatement and regulatory compliance. Born from a personal experience with lead poisoning, our work is driven by a deep commitment to preventing exposure and creating healthier living environments across Ohio. With integrity, urgency, and care at the core of everything we do, we bring both technical expertise and a personal sense of purpose to every project we take on.
Our Journey
We’re the partners (Eric and Amber) behind GMEI Services, and our story didn’t begin in a boardroom or with a business plan, it began in our own home with a life-changing moment in 2021. That year, one of our children was poisoned by lead. It was one of the most frightening experiences we had ever faced. As we searched for answers, we uncovered a heartbreaking truth: the danger was right under our roof.
That discovery turned our world upside down and sparked a passion within us. We were shocked to learn how common lead exposure still is, especially in homes with children. From that moment forward, we made it our mission to do something about it. What started as a personal crisis became a calling—to protect other families from going through what we did..

reflect our values through every aspect of our work at GMEI Services.
As a majority woman-owned business, our devoted mothers are not only committed to their children but also to teaching them faith, integrity, and the importance of being engaged members of their
community.
Our partners also include two fathers who are equally dedicated to leading their households with purpose, being present and intentional in their role as fathers, and consistently investing in their personal and professional growth. They are driven not only to provide for their
families, but to lead with strength, humility, and conviction.
